About Us

Jared and I are both from California. I am the middle child of 5 and he is the oldest of 2 so our childhoods were very different! His was probably a lot less crazy...

Jared and I met our sophomore year of high school and remained close friends ever since. We briefly dated our senior year (even went to prom together) but went our separate ways when I left for Utah to attend Brigham Young University on a swimming scholarship.

We both grew up a lot and a couple years later we started dating. We have always had a long distance relationship and with time, we got pretty good at it.

Being apart for so long was the hardest thing for us as we both had our own struggles and hardships, but it continued to bring us closer together. We dated long distance, for 2 years. Our relationship relied on Skype dates and letters and lots of flower deliveries to make up for the missed date nights and anniversaries. Jared got pretty good at that!

We even got engaged on a weekend visit in Texas while Jared was finishing up tech school! And then were even apart during our 3 month engagement.

This past spring, I graduated Brigham Young University with a BS in Human Development and Jared graduated from tech school. It seemed like the perfect time to start our lives together. We were married on June 4th in the Oakland California temple.

Days after, we moved to Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri where the military has sent us for Jared's first duty station. We miss California and our families so much, but we are so excited to finally be starting our lives together!
