Sweet Summertime

So summer is finally here! I am super excited for all of our fun plans this summer, not so much excited about this midwest humidity. Here are a few things we have been up to.

1. My friend brought back my melt! I wanted to do something fun for summer with my hair and I am so lucky to have found someone who is awesome at hair! Its been so hard being far from Elise ( my bestie and hair stylist)

2. We got a few pictures taken from a pretty awesome photography. More to come later!

3. I've been crafting still making the final touches to our house!

4. Our goal this summer is to get our tan on... Last summer we really struggled in that department and it was a long, pasty winter!

5. MY MOM, KERRA, AND KAYDENCE ARE VISITING IN 2 WEEKS!!! CAN YOU TELL HOW EXCITED I AM? I am so excited to show my family around Missouri! It has been SIX MONTHS since I have seen them... the longest ever. I can't wait!!!

One Year Later

Last week we celebrated our one year anniversary! It is so crazy to think that one year ago, everything changed. We got married, I graduated from college, packed up everything in Utah, we moved our lives to Missouri and Jared started his military career.  We both have grown so much in the past year. I know that marriage has taught me a lot about myself and there's no one else I woul rather spend forever with. I am so grateful for a husband that supports and loves me unconditionally. Here are some pictures from our wedding day, June 4, 2013!

We wanted to do something special for our anniversary so we went to the nicest restaurant in Kansas City, Fogo De Chao. We celebrated the weekend before since we got married on a Tuesday :) ha. It is a Brazilian buffet style restaurant that is sooo amazing. The food and service is exquisite. We will definitely be returning next year!

Oh and they brought us 2 free desserts! (Anyone who knows me, knows the way to my heart is dessert so yeah )

On the day of our actual wedding anniversary, Jared had to work, I had a Dr.'s appt and 2 job interviews. It was a crazy, exhausting day but that evening we grilled up some steaks and had a delicious dinner together at home. Of course I had to get a cake!

I can't wait for our 2nd anniversary already!
